Bad Breath – Dental Hygiene Issue or Medical Disorder?

Bad breath, also known as halitosis, is a common condition that affects people everywhere, even those with good dental hygiene. Bad breath is a very embarrassing and unpleasant condition, and unfortunately some people with bad breath don’t even realize they have it.

Halitosis
– Certain foods that you eat affect the air you exhale and contribute to bad breath odour
– Remaining, rotting food particles in the mouth, between teeth, on the tongues, and around the gums
– Dry mouth, which occurs when the flow of saliva decreases
– Tobacco and smoking
– Medical disorder, such as a local infection in the respiratory tract, chronic sinusitis, postnasal drip, diabetes, liver or kidney ailment.
